About us

At P&R horsedrawn carriages, the welfare of our horses is our top priority, therefore they will only undertake work that is suitable for them, and that will not harm them or affect their welfare in any way.

Outside of work days, the horses will enjoy a usual horse life. They are exercised in harness or under saddle regularly to keep their level of fitness. When they are not being exercised, they enjoy time out in the field in small groups to allow them to socialise.

Rosa is an animal chiropractor and rehabilitation therapist as well as a HE lecturer, teaching equine and canine physiotherapy. Therefore, the horses receive regular chiropractic and physiotherapy treatment to ensure they are always comfortable and physically fit to perform their work.

Paul is an experienced carriage driver who undertakes all aspects of training of the horses, to ensure these are ready for the work they undertake. Paul is also fully knowledgeable of the funeral industry, having worked for many years as a funeral director and funeral manager, therefore will always ensure that our services are to the highest standard for all occasions.
